Our approach to business is rooted in my family's 90-year history in the real estate, construction and printing industries. In the early 1900s, my great grandfather Emil Naert, owned one of the largest stone foundation companies in St. Louis. Supported by a fleet of 27 trucks hauling stone from local quarries, Emil built a majority of the stone foundations in St. Louis City. He built the foundations and juggled the day-to-day operations of his growing business. As the company grew, he instilled in his youngest son Joe, his love of building homes.

My grandfather, Joe Naert, owned several businesses in his career including: Joseph A. Naert Real Estate, Naert Painting Co., and Joseph A. Naert Insurance Co. Although my grandfather Joe started out painting houses, a case of lead poisoning forced him to give up painting and explore the possibilities of Joseph A. Naert Real Estate. Similar to his father, Grandpa Joe handled all aspects of his home building and real estate business. While acquiring and developing vacant lots, acting as an agent for buyers and sellers, and networking in the community, he quickly became known as the "go-to-guy" for real estate in St. Louis. He purchased multiple properties and sold them as a "package deal" to Anheuser-Busch. Later, the land was redeveloped and is now part of their world headquarters. His business was so successful he retired at age 39. Now 92 years of age, he and my grandmother Thelma happily reside in Sunset Hills.

Although my father, Gerre Naert, didn't choose the real estate path, he paved his own way by launching Naert Printing in 1964. After many years of learning the ropes from my father, I purchased the company in 1996. Established in 1964, it is one of the oldest family-run commercial printers currently operating in St. Louis.

Today, I oversee Naert Realty, along with Naert Printing and Naert Development. For over 40 years, Naert Printing has produced quality offset printing and continues to service its loyal customer base today. Naert Development was established in 1994 and focuses on residential construction, rehabbing and investment properties. As a fourth generation business entrepreneur with a solid foundation of experience in competitive industries, I am committed to making Naert Realty St. Louis’ premier real estate company.
